چکیده

Scrotal hemorrhage after testicular sperm aspiration (TESA) is uncommon in clinical operation. Unfortunately, two masturbation difficulty males experienced scrotal hemorrhage after TESA associated with phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor (PDE5i) administration. Till now, reports about such cases are scarce. In this retrospective study, 504 men with TESA operation in Center for Reproductive Medicine, Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University were collected. The testis volume, coagulation function were measured. Sonographic examination with Doppler imaging was performed when scrotal hemorrhage unfortunately appeared. The incidence of hemorrhage was 0.0% in the control group and the drug group was 2.6%. The incidence of hemorrhage between two groups was different significantly (χ2=11.308, P=0.001). Given the potential risk of scrotal hemorrhage after the ingestion of PDE5i, it should be cautious to prescribe this medicine when the patient is likely to perform TESA.

Scrotal hemorrhage after testicular sperm aspiration may be associated with phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor administration: a retrospective study

BACKGROUND Scrotal hemorrhage after testicular sperm aspiration (TESA) is uncommon in clinical operation. Phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE5i) are commonly given to men who have difficulty providing a sperm sample for assisted reproductive technique such as in vitro fertilization. In this study, we examine the incidence of scrotal hemorrhage after TESA in men who received a PDE5i. METHODS I...

Efficacy of Tranexamic Acid in Severe Pulmonary Hemorrhage in a Asphyctic Neonate

Pulmonary hemorrhage (PH) is rarely seen in neonates and generally occurs based on the pathological process as perinatal asphyxia. Additionally, hypothermia treatment can be associated with thrombocytopenia and hemorrhage in term infants. Generally, PH is severe and persistant hemorrhage can related to neonatal mortality. Sometimes, supportive therapies such as positive-end expiratory pressure ...

O-25: Serum Stem-Cell-Factor Assay in Elderly Poor Responder Patients Undergoing IVF: A New Biomarker to Customize Follicle Aspiration Cycle by Cycle.

Background Since the success rate in older poor-responder (POR) infertile women is expected to be extremely low irrespective of the treatment protocol, clinicians continue the search for biomarkers which may predict cases in which proceeding with follicle aspiration may be appropriate. Experimental studies on murine model suggest that SCF(Stem- Cell-Factor) produced by ovarian cumulus granulosa...

Neonatal adrenal hemorrhage is uncommon. It is present in 0,2% of newborns. Ten percent of the cases occur bilaterally. It can be associated with birth trauma, large birth weight, or neonatal course complicated by hypoxia and asphyxia, hypotension, or coagulopathy. Scrotal hematoma is an extremely rare manifestation of NAH. Most patients present scrotal swelling with bluish discolouration. Scro...

Scrotal hematoma resulting from extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy for a renal calculus: a sign of retroperitoneal hemorrhage

We report a rare case of a patient presenting with scrotal hematoma associated with retroperitoneal hemorrhage after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). We propose a mechanism for the formation of scrotal hematoma and its importance as a sign of retroperitoneal hemorrhage.
